Hi, I'm Joseph. Today is Friday and Thursday was an exciting day. First, today, we had to turn in our final draft of our turkey story, and mine was about a turkey who has a guitar battle with a boy. The turkey ends up getting cooked. What was strange about my story was that the boy's mom shouts out, "Sing with the turkey, Bob!" That was also one of my favorite parts. I had a fun time making the turkey story.
Next that day we had science lab, and we tested out the airplane we made out of straws, sticks, a rubber band, and a propeller. It was really cool and fun to make an airplane out of those materials. Also in science, we were learning how you can only change one variable at a time.
Later, after science, I bought extra recess for the class, which costs twenty-five coupons. When I went out for recess, part of the time, I played this volleyball four square game where you don't want it to touch the ground The other time of recess I played football. I happily ran all over the place messing around, and I had fun.
Eventually we had lunch. I had noodles, an apple, a sandwich, Griptz, Scooby Snacks, and Lay's Chips. I couldn't eat much because I have millions of things in my lunch. That day at lunch we started out noisy and near the end we couldn't talk, but I still had fun.
After lunch we had another recess. The second recess I only played football. I got to be quarterback a few times, but the team I was on lost. (I think) Recess was fun ,but eventually we had to go inside. Which of course we all wish we could have stayed outside.
Next, most of the kids went to band. We did our morning exercises which is a tone builder, rhythm builder, and a chorale. Then we played a Mexican clapping song. Also in band, at the end, I learned how to play a song that lots of basketball teams play at games, but other than that, that was about all we did in band that day.
Once we got back from band, we went inside and we did Town Time. Town Time is where we have separate groups and each group has a town name. My teams town name is Trubyville, the sight your on now. Each person in each group has a job. The name of the people in my group are... Alex (mayor), Emme (major), Nick (hunter), Evan (fisherman), and me (lumberjack).
Every day in Town Time each person can move three inches, unless you have a horse and then you can move double. That day my teacher lost a gold magnet to her broach. Lots of people were searching for it, and then I saw something that was both shiny and gold so I picked it up and I said, "I think I found it." Then I handed it to my teacher and she said, "That's it!" so she said that she was going to promote me to Knight of England. She said, "You now get to get double everything and move double the amount of how much your moving now." That means if my team could get a horse, I could move twelve inches. So my team and I had an awesome Town Time.
After Town Time, we did a worksheet, but honestly I can't remember what worksheet we did. Once we finished the worksheet, we got ready to pack up. That day I went to walkers and bikers and played capture the flag with some of my friends including: Nick, Evan, Patrick, Matt, and Matt. I had a great day that day, and Trubyville Times was fun and a good experience.
